To all of the contributors, advertisers, and friends of The Rhode Island Echo, it is with a very sad heart that we need to inform you that Bob D'uva, owner and publisher, passed away either last night or early this morning in his home. Of course Bob's daughters, family, friends and staff are mourning this tragic day but a decision has been made to continue publishing in his memory.
We all know how much Bob loved The Rhode Island Echo and was one of the most energetic individuals we have ever known. His enthusiasm for Rhode Island and Federal Hill was unsurpassed and will leave a void never to be filled by another person. All of us who worked with Bob will pull together and enlist all of our efforts and passion to keep The Rhode Island Echo the thriving publication Bob was always so proud of. |
